Founded 1964 in Meißen (East Germany), Stern Combo Meißen (SCM) is considered one of the seminal bands of the East German rock scene in the 70′s alongside Pudhys, Karat and Electra. “Der Kampf um den Südpol” is a track from their self-titled debut album released in 1971 through state-owned Amiga Records.
